Help Desk Technician Level 1

Level I Help Desk Technician has a solid technical background and has flexible schdule. Level I Help Desk Technician's responsibilities include assisting customers with basic technical issues, monitoring the computer network, and completing miscellaneous tasks.

Individuals applying for this position should possess the following skills.

  1. Technical background with the ability to independently learn new technologies.
  2. Must have flexible schedule with 3rd shift, Weekend and Holiday availability.
  3. Excellent Customer Service skills required.
  4. Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment required.
  5. Knowledge of Internet Services such as DSL, Wireless, and Dialup a plus.
  6. Knowledge of Mac OSX a plus.
  7. Reliable transportation.

Linux System Administrator/Programmer

mc.net an Internet Service Provider located in Cary, IL has an immediate opening for a Linux System Administrator / Programmer to maintain and support our internal infrastructure.  Individuals applying for this position must possess the following skills.

Qualifications

  1. 5 years Installing, Migrating, Administering Red Hat/Centos Linux Systems.
  2. 5 years Developing and Maintaining PERL and BASH Scripts.
  3. Experience with MySQL, Apache, and Qmail/Linux Based E-mail Servers.
  4. Knowledge of Networking Protocols, TCP/IP, Internet Services such as DSL, Wireless, T1.
  5. Some User Interface Based programming.
  6. Customer Service Experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Install, Configure, and Troubleshoot Linux Based Servers running Web, Database, and E-mail Services.
  2. Develop new scripts and patch existing scripts utilizing PERL and BASH languages.
  3. Work with Engineering Team to develop new services.
  4. Assist in covering mc.net helpdesk phone queue.
